Moraira and the surrounding areas are packed with things to do for tourists.
In our opinion Moraira is the best Spain has to offer. Reminiscent of the French Riviera of 30 years ago. A
different world from the overdeveloped tourist spots normally associated with the rest of Spain. Beautiful scenery.
Award winning beaches with carefully preserved natural beauty.
Set on the South East Coast between Valencia in the North and Alicante to the South. It has its own micro
climate sea breezes in summer and protected against the cold North winds in winter. No high-rise developments or
package tour Hotels the area remains almost exclusively for private villas, well catered for, with excellent
supermarkets offering equal to and more than we have here at home.
Numerous restaurants of all types, shops, wineries, Water sports, golf, tennis, horse-riding, go-karts, walking,
cycling, climbing, parasailing, anything and everything you could want and need for a perfect Holiday.
There is spectacular scenery inland a little, including the wonderful mountain-top fortress of
Guadalest, the 'Garden of Eden' waterglades and waterfall of Fuentes Del Algar, the
Vergel Safari Park near Denia,
Europe's largest palm forest at Elche and the ancient city of Murcia.
Valencia (third largest city in Spain) is less than one hour drive away and Barcelona (second largest) and the
capital Madrid are three to four hours away - all reachable by motorway. Spain's answer to Euro Disney, Port
Adventure near Barcelona, is about Three and a half hours away.
We are also only 25 minutes away from 'Terra Mitica' Southern Spain's
answer to Disneyland. The famous 'Lemon express', running between Alicante and Denia, is also worth a ride as it is
considered to be one of the great coastal train journeys of Europe.
